 Directions to Russell

From Ottawa/Queensway/417: At the Hwy17/417 split take the #417 to Montreal. Exit at the Boundary Road exit (#96, the exit after Anderson Road) and turn right (south) on to Boundary Road. After about 10 minutes you will come to a 4-way stop; turn left on to Craig Street. Craig Street will take you into Russell. At the 3-way stop sign in Russell turn left on to Concession. Near the end of the village you will see the St. Joseph School on your left followed by the Russell Middle School, also on your left. The playing fields and the field house are behind the schools; you can park at both locations. PLEASE note the ‘no parking/fire route’ signs.

From the 401: The most direct route is probably HWY 31 north; take #31 until you see the Metcalfe turn off (Regional Road #6). Go through Metcalfe and continue on #6 until you come to a 4-way stop sign (about 5-7 minutes past Metcalfe). Continue straight through 4-way stop (you are now on Craig Street) until you enter Russell and come to a 3-way stop. Turn left on to Concession. Near the end of the village you will see the St. Joseph School on your left followed by the Russell Middle School, also on your left. The playing fields and the field house are behind the schools; you can park at both locations. PLEASE note the ‘no parking/fire route’ signs.

Registration Information

For registration or anything else you require please see us in the field house (Russell Youth Centre). If you come in the main doors there is a meeting room on your right (past the washrooms).

Facilities

There is a canteen and BBQ in the Youth Centre which will be open during the festival. There are also a number of restaurants in Russell; both are located in the core of the village (go back down Concession to the 3-way stop, straight through to the 4-way stop: if you turn left on Castor there is a small mall immediately on your right and if you go through the 4-way stop there is a restaurant on your right).

There is Tim Hortons in Embrun, about 7-8 minutes away. Go back down Concession Street to the 3-way stop; go straight through the 3-way stop until you reach a 4-way stop. Turn left on to Castor and head towards Embrun (~5 minutes). In Embrun you will see the Tim Horton’s on your left just past the first traffic light.

The Youth Centre has washroom facilities.
