We are excited to announce that the Russell Raiders program will be back this summer!
In order to adhere to the EOHU Covid rules and restrictions, soccer will look different for everyone this summer. The main difference being that there will not be a league for our competitive teams to play in.
That being said, RSC is still committed to providing dedicated volunteer coaches, who have successfully undergone training and accreditation through the Ontario Soccer Association, to all of our Raiders players. In addition to structured practices, the coaching staff will be organizing intra club scrimmages. The format will depend on the number of registrants for each age group. Options being considered at this time include combining age groups, or combining boys and girls teams. We will do what it takes to ensure the players have fun and are challenged while developing their soccer skills.
We are also hopeful to be able to play against other clubs in the form of exhibition games. We are currently in talks with other clubs in the EOHU to play some friendly games throughout the season while making sure to follow Covid protocols.
Players will not be required to purchase uniforms this season and will be provided pinnies for scrimmages/exhibition games.
