Note 1: For U9-U10 referees, at their discretion, will bring cherry picking (playing a player in front of opponent’s goal waiting for the ball when the ball is in player’s own half) to the attention of the offending team’s coach, except on free kicks. The coach is expected to address the situation.

Note 2: For U9-U12 the Opposing Team will retreat to 1/3 of the field on goal kicks and its players may not play the ball until a player from the Kicking Team has played it or the ball crosses the line of retreat. The line of retreat also applies after a save when the ball is in the Goalkeeper’s hands.  In the event that the Goalkeeper chooses to drop the ball to his/her feet, the ball is live, whether or not the opposing team has fully retreated. Violations result in a re-kick for the Kicking Team.

Note 3: If the team who is allowed to substitute does so, the other team may also substitute at the same time.

Note 4:    For U9-U10 players are to be replaced if they are acting in such a manner that would normally warrant issuance of a yellow card.

For U11-U12 issuance of a yellow card will also result in a 5-minute suspension to the Player. The player can be substituted.

Note 5:    For U9-U10 in cases of extreme conduct which would normally warrant issuance of a red card, the Coach is expected to keep the player off the field for the remainder of the game.

For U11-U12 issuance of a red card will result in the player taking no further part in the game. The player can be substituted.

Note 6: Should there be a U15/U16 division the game length will be Two x 45 minute halves.

Penalty spot: For U9-U12 the penalty spot will be 9 metres from the midpoint between the goalposts and equidistant to them.

Goalie Possession:  A re-take is awarded if the goalkeeper handles the ball again, from inside their penalty area, after releasing it from his/her possession.
