Russell Raiders Youth Soccer Academy (Summer program)

Do you have a passion for the Beautiful game and the determination to take your skills to the next level?

The Russell Raiders Youth Soccer Academy is the perfect place for our club’s most technically proficient players to develop their game.  Our approach is inspired by the Positional Play methodology, and focuses on deepening players’ understanding of the game as well as continuing to build on their technical skills.  

The top technical players from Club (as identified during the upcoming selection process) will have the opportunity to participate in weekly Academy sessions.  Those weekly sessions will be held in Russell on Sunday evenings (6:30pm-8:00pm), beginning on June 2nd.

We invite all U9-U18 registered RSC players (House League and Raiders) to the summer session OPEN try-outs being held on Friday May 10th (6pm-8pm) and Saturday May 11th (9am-10:30am).

Location: The fields behind St Joseph elementary school in Russell.

Players interested in attending the assessments MUST register online by Friday May 10th at NOON. Registration for the try out itself is FREE and can be found under the ‘Competitive’ option on Sports Engine (link below).

Players selected to participate in the summer Academy will be informed via email.  The Academy fee ($155, which includes your Academy uniform) will then be added to your online account (payment must be received before first session).  

Please note that the Academy sessions are in addition to your regular team (Raiders or House League) commitments.
