The Russell Kin Club is currently fundraising to bring a multi-use sports dome to Russell. Specific details have not yet been decided upon but the facility will include soccer fields and a track as well as washrooms and change rooms. 

The Kin Club will be presenting a proposal to the township committee of the whole on February 9th to try and obtain permission to move ahead with the project. If the dome is constructed, the Russell Kin Club intends to turn the facility over to the township.  

This facility would benefit the Russell Soccer Club immensely by providing a beautiful local space for winter practice and play. In light of this, we hope that the RSC soccer community will show their support for this project by attending the upcoming fundraising events. 

On February 14th, Eddy and the Stingrays will be bringing a little music to Valentine’s Day at the annual Rock-Kin dance, in support of the Russell Kin Club’s proposed dome facility. Tickets are available at Pronto, Russell Barber Shop, Depanneur Pierre et fils in Embrun and Campbell’s Variety in Metcalfe.
