NEW PROGRAM ALERT

The Russell Soccer Club is excited to announce the launch of a new program…WALKING SOCCER!!

Walking soccer is a modified version of the standard game intended to promote health and safety in an inclusive, recreational setting.  It is a non-contact sport designed for participants of all ages and abilities and provides an opportunity for both new and experienced players, particularly those with mobility and/or health limitations, to rediscover their passion and to continue to play the ‘beautiful game’.

The key differences are that running and jogging are not permitted, the ball cannot travel above head height, and no physical contact is permitted (including blocking and tackling).

The inaugural RSC Walking Soccer program is open to participants 30+.   The summer session will run for 8 weeks and be held every Saturday morning at the soccer field beside the Russell library from 10:00am-11:30am.   Start Date: Saturday June 1st.
