As many families involved with the Russell Soccer Club know, old uniforms tend to pile up in the backs of closets and drawers over the years. Thanks to our wonderful volunteer, Nicole Baker, there is now a way that you can easily dispose of your excess uniforms and support a great cause.
Socks, shirts and shorts can all be brought to Pronto, where they will be collected and eventually sent to Belize to be distributed to children there through a local sports association and school. Please consider giving your old uniforms to this worthy cause!
"My husband and I traveled to Belize a year and a half ago and realized just how poor the area was. Although terribly shabby by our standards, there were so many soccer fields. Our guide informed us that it's a very popular sport for kids there. As I have so many old uniforms that get moved from one bin to another, I thought this would be a great idea," says Baker.
